Cause and Effect: Biomes

Based on your research about the different biomes, answer the following questions:

1. What order are the biomes in starting from the poles and moving to the equator?

2. What causes climate zones near the equator to be warmer?

3. What is the effect of landform variations on climate?

4. Choose 2 biomes from your research and compare them (how are they alike and how are they different).

All answers must be numbered based on the corresponding questions, AND all answers must be written in complete sentences.

    4.i am comparing dessert ,and tropical rainforest some diffrences are the dessert is dry ,and the rain forest is wet ,also the rain forest has trees while the dessert has cactie .Now some alikes are they both have animals they both need water and also food that concludes my answers to biomes

    2.Climate zones near the equator are warmer because it gets more solar energy than any other zone.

    3. Landforms variations effect climate because when your going up into the atmosphere its getting colder.

    4. desert and grassland are alike and different because deserts are dry and grassland have streams and rivers. There both alike because they have lizards,birds,and snakes.

    2.The climate zones near the equator are warmer because the sun is overhead of the equator most of the year and almost every year.
    3.The landform (changes) variation effect the climate by the Rocky Mountains the Tundra is the peek and the Taiga is the slope the biomes change the higher u go up because heat goes down and cold goes up so Taiga is the part with heat and Tundra is the part that is cold.
    4.Taiga and Tropical RainForest.One difference is the RainForest has a variety of animals and plants.The second difference is Taiga's trees only grow around lakes and streams.One Similarity is that the RainForest and the Taiga both have trees growing and animals in the biomes.The second Similarity is that the RainForest and Taiga both have living things like plants,trees,animals,grass, and people also live in some parts of these biomes.

    2.Climate Zones are warmer near the equator because, the sunlight is stronger because of the Earth's axis.

    3. Land forms variations effect the climate by getting higher the climate get cooler. The lower you go the climate gets warmer.

    4.The Tropical RainForest and the desert are similar because the both have reptiles and have a warm climate. The Tropical RF and Desert are different because the Tropical RF gets more rain and the Desert plants have to grow long roots to get underground water.

    3. Land form variations effect climate by the higher the elevation the colder it gets.

    4. The tropical rain forests and desert are similar by they both have plants and animals to fit that climate. They are different by tropical rain forest is wet with plenty of rain fall and desert is dry with very little rain fall each year.

    Tropical Rain Forests and Deciduous Forests are different because Tropical has different layers of trees and Deciduous has different layer of plant that animals can live in, Deciduous forests get more sunlight and less rain then Tropical Forests.

Land form variations effect climate by high elevations and lower elevations because the closer you are to the equator the more you are warmer, and the farther you are from the equator the more colder you are. For example if you are on the Rocky Mountains and the tundra is the peak of the mountain and taiga is the middle of the mountain then taiga is going to be warmer than tundra and tundra is going to be colder than taiga.

    4. Two biomes that are alike are the tropical rain forest and the deciduous forest because they both have a great variety of animals and plant life.

Two biomes that are different are tropical rain forest and the deciduous forest because the tropical rain forest gets 250 cm (about 100 in.) of rain and the deciduous forest gets 75 - 250 cm (about 30- 100 in.) of rain and another way how they different is that the temperature is different because the deciduous forest is colder than the tropical rain forest.

    4. The tropical rain forests and deciduous are similar, because they are both types of biomes, animals live in both biomes, plants and trees are in both biomes, and they both get warm weather.

    The tropical rain forest and deciduous forest are different, because the TRF always have wasrm weather, but the DF has warm and cold weather. The TRF
    has some different plants than DF. The TRF is like a giant greenhouse, but the DF is not that green and has different colors.

The order of the biomes are Tundra, Taiga, Deciduous forest,grassland or desert, and tropical rain forest.Climate zones near the equated are warmer because those plases recive more solar energy than other zones to make it warmer their.The landforms variations effect climate by high elevations such as the Rocky Mountains, have local climates that result in Taiga on their slopes and tundra on their peeks, that means the very top is the Tundra and on the slope witch means the side is the Tariga so, the biome gets cooler the higher you go.Tropical rainforests and the Deciduous forest. They are the same because the each have life,anphibeins, and they both take place somewhere and North America. They are different because in the Tropical rainforest the tempatures are always warm and wet from all the rain.Now in the Decidois rainforest the trees leaves turn red,orange,and yellow before they drop.

  17. 1 The way it is is that it is rarely rains at the tundra while at the equator it rains a hole lots of rain!!!!!!
    2 the light of the sun causes heat so it causes different levels of evaporation and also precipitation
    3 it will be colder in higher ground because earth has lava and lava is hot so the farther away from heat the colder it is going to get
    4 taiga is much colder than the tropical rainforest and it has different trees and it is father away from the equator

    3. Landforms variations effect climate because, say there is a mountain, it starts as a Taiga up the slopes, but when you get to the peak of the mountain it will change biomes to a tundra. It changes because the air is cooler the higher you go up.

    4. Deciduous Forests are similar to Tropical Rain Forests because they both are forests. Deciduous and Tropical Rain Forests are different because Deciduous Forests recieve about 75 inches of rain when Tropical rain forests get about 100 inches of rain.

  19. The orders of the biomes is tundra, taiga, deciduous forest, grasslands or desert, and tropical rain forest. Climate zones near the equator are warmer because the sun is usually near the equator. So that is why the weather ,near the equator, is always so warmer. Landform variations effect climate by the winds forces moist air up over a mountain , air cools, and any moisture condences into the clouds. The moisture then falls to the earth as rain or snow.

    The tropical rain forest and deciduous forest are alike because, they both have lots of wild life in them. For example, the rain forest has many amphibians, reptiles, mammals, insects, fish, and birds. The forest also has creatures like insects, birds, rabbits, skunks, deer, chipmunks, etc. They are different because the rain forest is very moist and wet. But, in the forest it is very warm in the spring and below freezing in the winter. That is how they can be compared.

The effect of landform variations would be that it would change the biomes and the weather say your on a mountain and you start on the taiga the higher you get to the top it turns into the tandra because the weather changed .4 the tropical rain forest and the deciduous forest are the same because they are both forests. Also they both have many types of animals and plants. The tropical rain forest and the deciduous forest are different because the rain forest rains a lot and the deciduous forest dose not.
